Stay in a 'palazzo' - old and simple but real authentic. Nice staff and a nice dog. Nice people who stay here.
Please read if your room has a bathroom.

The staff's kindness and flexibility stood out, allowing us late check-out and helping with our bags. The spacious room and its charming patio made our stay even more enjoyable.

It's a modest low-budget hotel nestled in a historic style building. The rooms are huge and airy, with large beds. You will find a safe, central heating and iron/ironing board...

We got a room with an original 16th century fresco which was found during the hotel renovation! The best surprise of our stay in Florence!
Nothing.

This was my favourite hotel out of the 4 I stayed in Italy! The staff were great & the breakfast was simple but ideal! I loved this hotel becausevitvwas rustic & the location was fantastic, right in the middle of it all!!
It wasn't ideal to share bathrooms but it worked out ok as I had a shower the night before!

Friendly staff. Unspoilt old palace building. Very clean room and bed. Close to good value restaurants - turn left out of the hotel and there are several. Avoid the centre / river area where eating is a rip-off! Close to everything you want to see, most in a few minutes walk. Free wi-fi which actually worked!!
No shampoo!! Even when we asked for some; wasted a good hour and 4 euros trying to buy a bottle! Bathroom very very tired, good shower though. Lots of stairs, no good unless you are fit. Breakfast adequate.
